“I am quite sure they will keep him,” Shearer stated. The Rest is Football '. Owing to their achievements this year, since they've attained Champions League soccer, along with all those activities.
'I have absolutely no doubt that he won’t be leaving anytime soon. He will definitely stay.' Newcastle player next season because he’s a very, very, very good player.’

The Magpies legend says that not only do his former club have to keep hold of their star player, but bring in a number of big signings this summer if they want to continue to progress.
Following an early influx of investments spearheaded by their Saudi-based proprietors, the team has experienced several subdued transfer periods. However, Shearer believes this should shift this time around.
'They aim to advance to the next tier while staying within their current position, maintaining a spot among the top four or five throughout the season and competing for titles,' he stated. 'However, achieving this requires continuous progress.'
‘They’ve got to get in, I think, two or three big hitters that are going to improve the first team. If they do that, they’re not that far away from challenging.’

When asked about the positions requiring reinforcement, Shearer stated: "They definitely need an additional striker. Based on their potential sales or retainments, possibly a right-sided midfielder and perhaps one more center-back. Should they manage to bring those players aboard, I believe they won't be too distant from success."
The Athletic's David Ornstein also feels that a transfer for Isak isn’t even under discussion because Newcastle has qualified for the Champions League.
The transfer expert suggested Liverpool would be a ‘scary’ prospect If only they could include Isak in their team, but that seems highly improbable now.
Ahead of the concluding matches in the Premier League, Ornstein stated on The Athletic FC Podcast :' There is anticipation that Darwin Núñez might depart, which means Liverpool would likely need to sign someone for that role. It’s daunting to consider what they could achieve in both domestic and European competitions if they succeed in acquiring a prolific scorer.'

'I believe Isak could be the player that both Liverpool and Arsenal might consider signing, along with numerous other teams. However, it seems unlikely due to his availability, particularly if Newcastle manages to secure a spot in the Champions League; then, this move wouldn’t really come up for discussion.'
He stated on NBC Sports, "From Newcastle's viewpoint, he remains unsellable regardless of the price."
In 2022, Isak moved from Real Sociedad to Newcastle for approximately £63 million, with his current contract set to expire in 2028.
