Dog Stuns With Oscar-Worthy "Play Dead" Trick in Adorable Act

Many dogs have learned to sit and stay, but only the exceptionally intelligent ones (along with those who are talented performers) can manage 'playing dead'. However, nobody will surpass Sam’s expertise in this skill!

German Shepherd Sam is incredibly smart, highly skilled, and enjoys demonstrating her impressive maneuvers.

However, the trick she excels at most is "play dead," which can be seen in the video below.

And the Oscar goes to Samusercontentelines

She gazes intently at her owner – she would be willing to do almost anything for the delicious snack he’s holding. Initially, he instructs her to stay. She complies with his command and waits expectantly for further directions. Afterward, he exclaims "Bang!"

As soon as she feels something at her hind legs, she whirls around swiftly and ends up flipping onto her back with all four paws in the sky. Her execution is spot-on; she emits a little squeal before proceeding to do this. The only area for improvement might be her face—she doesn’t appear very troubled to our eyes. It’s hard to recall seeing such an adorable portrayal of collapse.

Magic or training?

Not every dog can perform the trick of playing dead! Certain breeds might find it difficult due to their body structure when they have to lie on their back. However, if your canine companion has no trouble lying down and rolling over, even on firm ground, teaching them this trick should not be overly challenging!

It requires plenty of practice, but once your dog reaches Sam's level, it becomes completely worthwhile!
