It’s quite something to start a venture alongside a highly talented individual. However, discovering a business ally who seems as close as family brings a distinct kind of happiness. For Rhea “Rei” Anicoche-Tan, founder of the influential Beautéderm Corporation, unveiling fresh brands isn’t unfamiliar territory. Yet, what is novel—and profoundly uplifting—is joining forces with Maja Salvador for this endeavor.
This is the heart of Majeskin, the freshly launched body care line that had its grand debut on May 23 at Incanta Cave in Quezon City. With the tagline "Glow Beyond The Surface," the brand reflects both Maja's minimalist elegance and Rei's no-nonsense expertise in beauty and wellness.
Beyond being merely a title, Majeskin embodies the concept of "minimal, majestic, and made-for-skin"—and its introduction was both intimate and refined.
The brand is also a family business. Besides Rei and Maja, Maja’s spouse, entrepreneur Rambo Nuñez, joins as a co-partner in this exciting new endeavor.
According to Maja, many of their ideas for Majeskin were born during their travels abroad, when their minds were relaxed and full of possibility.
"When my husband gets an idea, he acts on it quickly," she shared. "Before I knew it, he was already meeting with Manang Rei."
Rei, who also served as the couple’s godmother during their wedding, occupies a special spot in their hearts—a space defined by unwavering loyalty and trust.
Individually, we already have faith in her as our godparent," Rambo stated. "Therefore, for us, it feels like we found the ideal formula to transform our idea into truth. It didn’t happen quickly—it required five years of brainstorming, choosing a name, and conducting trials.
Maja also acknowledged one of her longtime advisors and pals, dermatologist Dr. Aivee Teo, who guided her during the creation of the brand. She stated, "Thanks to the support of Rambo, Aivee, and Manang Rei, Majeskin has made it here at last."
This product range consists of six thoughtfully crafted essentials aimed at softly yet efficiently caring for your skin. The Calming collection—Body Wash, Body Scrub, and Body Lotion—is unified by a calming chamomile fragrance. Meanwhile, the Nourishing series—which similarly comprises Body Wash, Scrub, and Lotion—is enriched with a gentle milk aroma. Each item boasts beneficial components such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, niacinamide, arbutin, goat milk extract, and aloe vera, ensuring comprehensive skincare.
However, beneath the attractive packaging and thoughtfully selected formulas lies a more profound radiance — one that stems from mutual respect and is forged over years of trust established away from boardrooms and press conferences.
Back in 2021 when I initially enlisted Maja as a Beautéderm ambassador, she shared with me her dream of launching her own body care range," Rei reminisced. "It took us about four to five years to make this happen. That aspiration was present even prior to her marriage.
At that point, Maja was not only a leading endorser but also someone whom Rei saw as a little sister. This relationship made it simple for Rei to agree when the project came together. “I didn’t hesitate at all,” she stated, becoming teary-eyed. “Now she’s a mother and an entrepreneur. It feels like a completely different era for my young one.”
Rei similarly commended Maja’s involvement across all areas—from product testing to creating marketing content. “Despite being occupied with her acting responsibilities, she went through everything meticulously. I said to her, ‘Wow, my little one has really matured!’”
However, what truly resonated with Rei was the sentiment driving their collaboration. “Frankly, Maja could have handled this solo. Given her vast following of millions, she can effortlessly market almost anything. Yet, she decided to team up with us—out of respect, affection, and dedication. It’s that gesture which deeply affected me.”
