Victor Osimhen 's future appears likely to heat up as a major discussion point for the upcoming summer, marking the second consecutive year this has been the case. Additionally, according to recent reports, Manchester United seem poised to make a strong play for securing his talents, potentially intensifying the competition even further.

Osimhen looked to be close to joining Al-Hilal from Napoli after spending the season on loan with Galatasaray and pipping Jose Mourinho Fenerbahçe's team towards winning the Super Lig title.

Nevertheless, reports indicate that his transfer to the Saudi Pro League is now canceled, leaving him apparently right back where he started.

The Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy has reported while Osimhen turned down Al-Hilal's offer, his aspiration is to compete in the Premier League , where Man United are now associated with his services.

The Gazzetta reports that the Red Devils have shown significant interest, as they require reinforcements upfront to climb back up the standings next season after finishing in 15th place.

The main obstacle, particularly when looking at United’s current financial state, is that Napoli reportedly remains steadfast about their £63.4 million (€75 million) release clause.

Nevertheless, United appear keen on arranging an agreement to offer both players and money for the Nigerian player, with Joshua Zirkzee expected to be a strong candidate.

Although his experience in England hasn’t been as planned, he still enjoys a strong standing in Italy after performing well for Bologna prior to moving from Serie A to the Premier League.

Last summer, both Napoli and United were considering moves for Alejandro Garnacho, reportedly due to his uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Acquiring Osimhen along with the signing of Matheus Cunha and the anticipated arrival of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford could provide a fantastic opportunity for United.

"According to Eric Chelle, who coaches Osimhen internationally, 'For me, Victor is the top striker globally,'" stated BBC.

'It is challenging for him to participate in this game as he had a season filled with immense pressure.'

The truth is that there is a transfer window active right now. During this period, a player of his caliber isn’t completely concentrated.

'Perhaps a team such as Manchester United. Alternatively, possibly Chelsea, Barcelona, or Real Madrid. Hence, he should keep his focus on those.'
