Efforts are ongoing to locate a missing 'vulnerable' teenager after a heap of her clothing was spotted on a shoreline.
Serren Bennet, 18, was seen walking alone towards the Church Lane area of Guisborough, North Yorkshire around 7pm on Sunday, June 8.
She was then last seen on CCTV walking towards Redcar beach alone at around 9pm.
The police think she remained near the beach area.
Serren's relatives verified that the clothes found at the shore belonged to her.
She is described as 5’6” tall with brown hair and brown eyes and she was wearing a black coat with fur on the hood, a black skirt, black tights and black shoes.
Specially trained officers are currently providing support for Serren’s family as investigations remain ongoing.
Superintendent Emily Harrison stated: "Based on the CCTV footage, we can observe that Serren went toward the beach by himself on the night of Sunday, June 8th."
'Clothes have been found on the shore that the family has identified as Serren's.'

We haven’t received reports of any other missing individuals in this region. Our specialized officers are assisting Serren’s family and keeping them informed about the ongoing police activities during these incredibly challenging times.
Our investigations are currently focused on the beach as we strive to do all we can to find Serren as swiftly as possible.
On Sunday, the police stated that Serren's absence was considered 'uncharacteristic behavior for her.'
If anyone spotted Serren at the beach, particularly between Majuba car park and South Gare, during the evening of Sunday, June 8, they should reach out to Cleveland Police.
