Soaked Scooter Scare: Auto and Bike Submerged After Heavy Rain in Hyderabad

Light to heavy rainfall lashed Hyderabad And the nearby regions experienced waterlogging and severe traffic disruptions. Social media platforms have been inundated with images of locals grappling with rising waters as they attempt to carry out their everyday activities. In one particular clip posted on X by ANI, a scooter and an autorickshaw can be seen trapped in deep water along the street.

"Sections of Hyderabad experienced waterlogging problems following intense rainfall in the area. Footage from Santosh Nagar and Champapet regions highlighted this issue," ANI reported.

The video It highlights critical waterlogging problems that disrupt everyday activities and transport. The scene shows cars finding it difficult to move through the flooded streets. As reported by ANI, squads from the Disaster Response Force (DRF) were dispatched to the Santosh Nagar and Champapet regions to address the waterlogging issue.

The Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad, has released an advisory stating: "Expect generally overcast skies. There will be light to moderate rain or thunderstorms occasionally with heavy downpours and strong winds (speeds between 40-50 kmph). Gusty conditions may affect the city this evening or night. Morning hours might see hazy weather. The maximum temperature could reach up to 31°C, whereas the minimum is expected to drop to about 23°C. Winds blowing from westerly/north-westerly directions should have velocities of approximately 8-12 kmph."

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over peninsular India from June 12 to 15. Despite the monsoon setting in some parts of the country, the department issued a forecast that heat wave conditions are likely to continue over Northwest India.
