Vivek Oberoi Joins Nitesh Tiwari's Epic Ramayana: Meet the Complete Cast

Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming film Ramayana has been generating excitement since its announcement. The movie will feature Ranbir Kapoor At the forefront, scheduled for release in two segments, this grand narrative has gained a fresh addition to its ensemble. According to recent reports, Vivek Oberoi has joined the project to take on an essential character role. Part one of the film is set to premiere in cinemas during Diwali 2026.

As the movie keeps making news, let’s examine the ensemble cast of Ramayana.

Headlining the distinguished cast is Ranbir Kapoor, portraying Lord Rama in the movie.

Accompanying him as Sita is Sai Pallavi. This project marks her entry into Bollywood through this mythical narrative.

The character of Ravana has been one of the major talking points in the film, with Kannada star Yash set to portray him. This venture will introduce the KGF actor to Bollywood. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will take on the part of Lord Hanuman.

As per recent reports, Amitabh Bachchan is set to portray the character of Jatayu. In the meantime, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, and Rakul Preet Singh have been cast as Kaikeyi, Mandodari, and Surpanakha respectively.

This list isn’t exhaustive. Mohit Raina, known for his portrayal of Lord Shiva in "Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev," is set to take on the role again in an upcoming adaptation of the Ramayana. Additionally, Ravi Dubey has joined the cast and will portray Lakshmana. Notably, Arun Govil, famous for playing Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s television serial “Ramayan,” will return to the screen as King Dasaratha.

Kunal Kapoor will play Lord Indra, Vivek Oberoi will take on the role of Vidhyutjiva, and Aditya Kothare will be Bharat in the supporting roles. While Anil Kapoor and Vikrant Massey were rumored to potentially depict King Janaka and Prince Meghnad, an official statement has refuted these speculations.

Recent reports indicate that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the first promo for Ramayana. The two-minute thirty-six-second trailer has been granted a 'U' rating by the CBFC’s Mumbai Regional Office.
