Club World Cup: PSG Seals Quarter-Final Spot

On Sunday night, following the conclusion of the Club World Cup quarter-finals, FIFA announced the best squad of the competition. Paris Saint-Germain, having defeated Bayern Munich with a scoreline of 2-0, has three representatives in this lineup.

A 26-year-old full-back named Achraf Hakimi, along with two 20-year-olds—midfielder João Neves and forward/midfielder Désiré Doué—are not unexpected selections for this squad, although each choice remains open to discussion due to strong competition. Hakimi continued to perform well overall, earning a key last-minute pass that proved decisive. Neves was present for the first goal, delivering an excellent performance throughout the match.

Doué showed more variability, with his choice being less "predictable." However, he still managed to score an impressive goal. And that's ultimately what matters, particularly when trying to overcome a tight game. Maybe other players might have been involved (Gianluigi Donnarumma? Nuno Mendes? Marquinhos?), yet Paris still faced challenges, as there's intense rivalry throughout this competition.
