Milind Soman's 600km Race from Mumbai to Goa: Redefining Fitness at 60

Milind Soman, actor, model, and fitness inspiration, continues to show that age is only a figure. At the remarkable age of 60, he accomplished an impressive challenge—running a massive 600 km distance from Mumbai to Goa across five days during the fifth installment of The Fit India Freedom Run.

Beginning his journey on June 26 from Shivaji Park in Mumbai, Milind covered 90 kilometers by bicycle and completed an additional 21 kilometers running every day—mimicking the daily requirements of a Half Ironman event. He traversed through the picturesque yet demanding landscape of Maharashtra’s Konkan region, moving across locations like Pen, Kolad, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, and Kankavli, finally reaching Goa on June 30.

Marking the occasion, Milind took to Instagram with a heartfelt post that read:

Today marks the start of the Fit India Run! Over 5 days, covering 600 kilometers from Mumbai to Goa — we've added some excitement this time around by taking on Half Ironman distances each day for both running and cycling. That means 90 km of biking and 21 km of running daily, all alongside an amazing team — specially @ankita_earthy who will join me during my run segments! Participating in challenges like these annually helps ensure I'm staying fit and functional throughout the year. It feels great when folks say seeing us participate motivates them towards healthier living too; what a wonderful bonus indeed. Let's aim together toward making every citizen proud as truly 'fit' individuals across our beautiful nation - Long Live Bharat!

For years, Milind has been closely associated with the Indian government's Fit India Movement, which was introduced in 2019 to inspire people to embrace healthier and more physically active lives. Being among the movement’s strongest supporters, he consistently encourages fitness lovers nationwide through his yearly endurance events.
