Coleman, aged 61, is widely considered among the greatest athletes in bodybuilding history and shares the all-time record for the most Mr. Olympia wins with eight championships.

He has also secured 26 titles from the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) in the past and stepped away from competition in 2007 when his time as Mr. Olympia concluded.

Questions about his well-being first emerged when he had to delay a planned visit to the UK earlier this week.

In an Instagram post On Sunday, Coleman posted: "Hi everyone, I really regret having to tell you this, but I won't be coming to the UK this week as originally scheduled. Sadly, I experienced a health crisis and have to stay in the U.S. for medical care."

But don’t fret... I'm receiving excellent care from amazing people, and I'm keeping my spirits high throughout this journey. You'll hear from me again—stronger than before—and nothing would make me happier than meeting each of you face-to-face very soon!
