The report suggests that Arsenal is looking for a more youthful player compared to Sane, who was 29 as of January. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens are all preferred choices according to Mikel Arteta’s preferences.

According to a different report, Sky Germany states that Arsenal are 'actively pursuing' the possibility of signing Rodrygo from Madrid.
The Spanish club is awaiting the arrival of Xabi Alonso to finalize Rodrygo’s future. However, the 24-year-old has been suggested as one of the crucial players under Carlo Ancelotti who might be transferred at the season’s conclusion.
Meanwhile, Bayern could lose Sane for free as he can leave on a Bosman transfer when his contract ends next month.
Last week, Bayern's sports board member, Max Eberl, stated that Sane, who was signed from Manchester City for £54.8 million in 2020, has turned down the club's proposal for a renewed contract.
“He mentioned today that he isn’t willing to accept our proposal in its current form,” Eberl stated.
'There isn’t any ill will. The offer stands. We have conveyed our desire to renew his contract. At least from my perspective, you can sense that Leroy wishes to remain. Now, let’s wait and see how things unfold over the coming days.'
