Mercato Shake-Up: Thunderbolt Lee Set for PSG Exit!

Arriving at the summer transfer window in July 2023 from Mallorca, Lee Kang-In, a 23-year-old South Korean midfielder, has signed with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028. He is expected to feature more prominently during the 2024-2025 season compared to his inconsistent debut campaign. However, this hasn’t fully silenced all doubters, leading to speculation about potential transfers once again circulating. On Tuesday, journalist Matteo Moretto reported Relevo ) guarantees that a move is drawing nearer, as multiple teams have shown interest.

“A number of clubs are closely watching.”

“Negotiations to renew Lee Kang-in’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain are at a standstill, and the Korean could become one of the names in the summer transfer window.

A few teams are closely monitoring his circumstances; however, as of now, none have managed to strike a deal with PSG.

Napoli; clubs from the Premier League, Spain, and Arabia are all showing interest in him."

It's entirely believable, and he is generally a trustworthy reporter, yet we remain vigilant whenever it's merely speculation. There's a good chance that PSG might provide an opportunity for Lee, considering he wasn't part of the squad during Saturday's 3-0 Coupe de France final against Reims. Similarly, the player could be looking towards securing a bigger role elsewhere.

But this also makes the announcement a little “easy”, when we know that soccer can surprise and move very quickly. In any case, we need a clearer way out before we have any concrete leads. And let’s not forget a possible price, for which the agreement won’t necessarily be simple.

Lee is sure to be among the players discussed in the summer rumors, so we'll have to wait and see how things unfold.
