Ousmane Dembélé was clearly thrilled when he reunited with Lionel Messi after Paris Saint-Germain defeated Inter Miami 4-0 in the Club World Cup Round of 16 match on Sunday evening.
Returning from an injury, the French forward entered play during the second half and maximized his time—both on the field and away from it.
Following the game, Dembélé was reunited with Messi, his ex-FC Barcelona colleague from the period between 2017 and 2021.
The pair had an amicable interaction, took a photograph together, and exchanged jerseys. In the picture shared online, Messi can be spotted dressed in Dembélé’s PSG top, whereas the French forward confidently displays Messi’s iconic number 10 Inter Miami shirt—and even has his boots too.

Dembélé went even further by obtaining jerseys from his former Barcelona teammates Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba, who have both joined him at Inter Miami.
“Thrilled to have you back, Leo — the undisputed GOAT,” he penned. It was an evening of sheer control for PSG, yet equally marked by sentimentality and memories shared between Dembélé and his ex-teammates.
