A fresh leak from Setsuna Digital via Weibo suggests that the South Korean technology major intends to unveil details about its triple-folding smartphone—likely named the Galaxy G Fold—at the same time as launching Galaxy Z Fold 7 Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup.
Although the tri-fold smartphone is anticipated to make an appearance at the event, according to the leak, it may not hit the market until October 2025, likely adopting a phased launch approach akin to... the Galaxy S25 Edge Which had been hinted at for several months prior to its release.
Samsung's upcoming triple-folding smartphone—which can bend twice for greater portability—is said to be generating significant excitement as a new highlight within the company’s lineup of flexible devices. As revealed through reports citing sources like @PandaFlashPro (as covered by SamMobile), the gadget may include a robust build combining titanium with aluminum framing, powered possibly by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor along with generous support of 16GB RAM onboard memory capacity .
It may feature a primary display measuring 9.96 inches alongside a secondary cover screen of 6.49 inches. Significantly, the device is expected to move away from an under-screen camera setup on the main panel, instead adopting a punch-hole design—similar to what has been speculated about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as well.
It might also feature shared elements such as the speakers and hinge system with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, offering a strong but recognizable upgrade within Samsung’s expanding range of folding devices.
Samsung is reportedly looking into developing a foldable battery design to enhance power storage within the device’s intricate structure, although fast-charging capabilities might still lag behind current market standards.
The three-panel foldable won't be the sole new item teased at the July gathering. There are rumours suggesting that Samsung might also reveal Project Moohan Its debut Android XR headset, also anticipated to hit the market in October, made its initial appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2025 held in March this year.
Although the company hasn’t formally announced the tri-fold device’s name, features, or launch timeline, they have hinted at the idea during earlier presentations, suggesting that the July event could be where we see an official reveal.
