Gor Mahia's 2024/2025 season
Zico, initially serving as the assistant coach, has been named caretaker manager on two occasions during the current season. The first time came when he stepped in following the dismissal of Leo Neiva back in November last year.
The ex-player came back in May following the departure of Neiva’s successor, Sinisa Mihic, who stepped down just three months into his role.

The contentious Croatian coach raised concerns about deliberate interference within his coaching setup, prompting supporters to demand that Zico along with the remaining aide, Michael Nam, step down.
Other individuals from the technical bench who have stepped down include goalkeeper trainer Boniface Oluoch, squad coordinator Victor Nyaoro, and every steward associated with the club.
K’Ogalo secured second place in the standings with 69 points, finishing six points behind Kenya Police, who received a guard of honor from them on the last matchday.
