The quest for the next Miss Cosmo World Malaysia has begun.
Carrie Lee, the pageant organizer, is inviting potential candidates to register for auditions on July 19 at Confetti KL, located in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
The ex-beauty pageant winner, holding the titles of Miss Malaysia Tourism 2003 and Miss Chinese Cosmos 2004, mentioned that through participation, women can uncover their inner fortitude and realize their complete capabilities.
She stated at a press conference held at Confetti KL that women possess the ability to bring about transformation, maintain independence, manage multiple tasks, and persist in overcoming life's obstacles.
Also in attendance was the pageant’s honorary advisor Datuk Seri Dr Chong Chin Fung.
The successful participants will go head-to-head at the Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia finale on October 27th at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The event included the signing of an agreement between the organizer and sponsors, along with a reunion of former beauty queens.
Joyce Chao, the pageant chairman and former first runner-up of Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2021, stated that the contest played a crucial role in transforming her into a more self-assured and multifaceted individual.
Prior to entering the competition, I was clueless about walking in high heels or doing an accurate catwalk.
"But the trip challenged me more than I expected, providing me with resilience and access to unforeseen opportunities," she stated.
Pondering her change, Chao mentioned that the pageant imparted a vital life lesson to her – perfection isn’t necessary.
"What really counts is mustering the bravery to make that initial move and permitting yourself to develop through the journey," she stated.
